Physiotherapist Amanda Robertson has a keen interest in the rehabilitation of both sport and musculoskeletal injuries from athletes of all ages and abilities. She is passionate about looking at the body holistically to ensure that her clients get the best outcome.
Amanda Robertson gained significant international experience in London (UK) working as a physiotherapist in the area of hand therapy; and she has successfully completed the Certification of Hand Therapy enabling her to be titled as an Accredited Hand Therapist (as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association).
Prior to joining the Physioworks team, Amanda has worked as a physiotherapist at the Fremantle Hospital; and also in a private upper limb clinic. This involved assessment and treatment of acute trauma both surgical and non-surgical, sporting injuries and repetitive overuse injuries.
Amanda Robertson has an extensive sporting background representing both Victoria and Western Australia in National Volleyball Competitions from 2002-2011, and she uses her elite level sport experience and professional expertise in her rehabilitation programs, which focus on getting the patient/athlete to return to sport and/or function as soon as possible.
Amanda now enjoys being involved in a range of sports, in particular, she is focussing on improving her half-marathon time. She is always open to great coffee suggestions!
Amanda Robertson is an active member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) having graduated with honours from the University of Notre Dame in Western Australia (2010). Her driving future aim is to become an APA titled Sports Physiotherapist.
