Physioworks Health Group is pleased to be a new support partner of the Casey Basketball Association (CBA) as the preferred physiotherapy & allied health-care provider.

The new partnership with the CBA further extends the network of relationships and support services that the Physioworks Health Group has across a wide range of elite male and female sporting environments, and with numerous local sporting leagues/clubs.

Physioworks Director David Francis said “Physioworks Health Group are delighted to extend our expertise to the CBA community & to the Casey Cavaliers Senior Men and Woman teams. Basketball is a massive participation sport in our local area so we are very much aligned regarding active participation as a key to the health and well-being of our community”.

Injury prevention and management across the CBA wider community – players, coaches and parents – via education evenings will be key support service to be provided by Physioworks during the 2017 season.

Physioworks Sports Physiotherapists Matthew Lynagh and Paul Kemel will also be working with members of the Cavaliers Senior Men and Woman teams, initially with Performance Screening & Assessments helping to identify existing & potential body movement issues which may affect performance of elite players.

David Francis commented “Post the assessments, individual action plans will be put in place with each player and the coaches, aimed at injury prevention & performance optimisation, with the aim to assist the Cavaliers to achieve team success in 2017, but also assist the individual players across their future playing career”.

With clinics in Berwick, Cranbourne and Pakenham offering a diverse range of physiotherapy and allied health services, Physioworks Health Group is well placed to support the injury and health care needs of the Casey basketball community.
