An Exercise Physiologist (EP) is a university qualified allied health practitioner in the field of Exercise Rehabilitation.

Exercise Physiologists provide exercise prescription and the delivery of exercise programmes for elite athletes through to those suffering from injury and or chronic disease, including but not limited to, diabetes, obesity, arthritis and cardiovascular disease.

Physioworks Health Group Exercise Physiologists’ Brooke DeHey, Megan Jepson, Dylan D’Souza and Sophie Grumley conduct initial exercise assessments, exercise classes and one-on-one exercise sessions at Physioworks clinics in Cranbourne, Mulgrave,Pakenham & Camberwell.

The EP team see clients for pre & post natal assessment & treatment; and they also run a dedicated Type 2 Diabetes Exercise Program at all of our clinics.

Medicare will fund Exercise Physiology for clients with certain chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and arthritis under the Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Programme. You will need to speak to your GP regarding a referral. Health Fund benefits apply to Exercise Physiology, as well as Workcover & TAC.
