David Francis is a leading Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist* and Director at Physioworks Health Group, who has extensive experience in sports injury management, particularly injuries & rehabilitation associated with Australian Rules Football (AFL).

Following intensive, advanced specialist study, training & rigorous examinations, David Francis was awarded the title Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist* and has been awarded a Fellowship of the Australian College of Physiotherapy (FACP).

David Francis heads the practice at Physioworks Health Group clinics in Cranbourne, Berwick & Pakenham.

As a leader in his field, David Francis is regularly engaged to speak & educate his peers across a range of sports injury management issues at educational institutions & industry conferences.

David Francis has vast experience in elite sport injury management & the performance of elite athletes as the Senior AFL Physiotherapist to the Collingwood Football Club in the AFL for over 25 seasons (1996-2019). David was Awarded Life Membership of the Collingwood Football Club in 2019.

David Francis held responsibility as Physiotherapist to the Victorian State of Origin Team (1999) & the AFL International Rules Team  (2001-2002). Since 1995, David has been a member of the AFL Physiotherapy Association & is a past Vice President. He was Awarded Life membership to the AFL Physiotherapist Association in 2020.

As Head of Medical & Allied services for Camberwell Magpies Cricket Club since 2010, David Francis was awarded the Vernon Wilcox Perpetual Award 2023 for distinguished services over long period at club.

Having graduated from LaTrobe University in 1990, David commenced his physiotherapy career at the Goulburn Valley Hospital. In 1993 he returned to Melbourne completing a year of full time study in 1995 to achieve his post-graduate diploma in Manipulative Therapy from LaTrobe University. David Francis established Physioworks Health Group (Cranbourne and Pakenham) in 1995, which continues to provide & expand its allied health services to the communities of Casey & Cardinia in outer south-east Melbourne.

In 2011, together with fellow Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist Andrew Dalwood*, David Francis established Physioworks Health Group Camberwell to provide the highest quality Musculoskeletal, Sports & General physiotherapy services to the inner south eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

David Francis (FACP) is an active member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Australia & the Australian College of Physiotherapists.
