With her focus and interest in Sports Physiotherapy, Physiotherapist Amy Shipperd, has recently completed two Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) courses:
- Advanced Assessment and Management of the Wrist
- Advanced Differential Diagnosis and Treatment of Elbow Pain.
Summer sports, such as tennis, golf and cricket, especially early in the season when returning from seasonal lay-offs, can often see an increase in wrist and elbow injuries.
Amy Shipperd has extensive experience in tennis related injuries, providing physiotherapy support to players at numerous national and international tennis tournaments across the summer. Both APA education courses assisted Amy to fine tune her assessment and management skills for wrist and elbow issues that can often be tricky to assess and complex in their management.
