Physioworks Health Group Camberwell Physiotherapist Liz Martin, will be presenting at the upcoming Australasian Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AusACPDM) conference in Auckland, New Zealand.
Liz Martin has over 20+ year’s physiotherapy experience working with infants and children, and has a strong interest and focus in cerebral palsy.
The conference will be attended by orthopaedic surgeons, paediatricians, physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals from Australia, Asia, and the US.
At the conference Liz Martin will present “Triplegia in Cerebral Palsy: Is there a distinct clinical phenotype”?
Triplegic Cerebral Palsy is a medical condition characterised by the involvement of three limbs – one arm and both legs. Phenotype is how genetic and environmental influences come together to create the physical appearance and behaviour. The aim is to identify whether this is a distinct group, and if so, can clinical treatment be focused for improved patient outcomes.
Apart from cerebral palsy, Liz Martin has extensive physiotherapy experience in a wide range of paediatric conditions, including Downs Syndrome, genetic syndromes, plagiocephaly, torticollis, post-operative rehabilitation, developmental disorders, and other orthopaedic and neurological conditions.
